A driveway that meets the curb in one clean line. A walkway that still sits level after ten winters. Interlocking in Mississauga earns that below the surface, not above it.
Much of the city sits on Peel Plain clay, and the Building Code puts our frost line at 1,200 mm. So we excavate, set grades, compact granular base in lifts, and restrain every edge. From Lorne Park to Meadowvale, that hidden work decides whether stones stay flat or ripple by year three.

I had a great experience working with Maverick Landscaping. Matt was professional, reliable, and clearly takes pride in his work. He built a beautiful patio for me in June, and the attention to detail really shows — everything came out clean, level, and exactly how I envisioned it. Communication throughout the project was smooth, timelines were respected, and the whole process felt stress-free. You can tell Matt genuinely cares about delivering quality results. Highly recommend Maverick Landscaping if you’re looking for someone who does solid, honest work. I’ll definitely be using them again in the future.Posted on Google Chioma NwaokoloTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Maverick Landscaping install our backyard patio and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The team was great to work with and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. The patio looks amazing and we’ve already been using it a lot for entertaining. It’s completely transformed our backyardPosted on Google Linda SpurrellTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Matt and his crew in to do our patio in the backyard and were extremely happy with the results. Matt was very professional and so was his crew. Highly recommend Maverick Landscaping.Posted on Google Heather LeeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his crew are an efficient and effective team. In five days they replaced and installed our fence. They were very patient and kind to my husband, who desperately wanted to help do the wood-working things. The fence looks fantastic and we have had a handful of neighbours from around the block ask to come through and see the finished product. The workmanship is guaranteed and Matt said if we had any issues to call. The back gate was sticking a bit after the rain, so we called and Matt came and adjusted the gate so it doesn't stick any more. Fantastic service! Interlocking Mississauga driveways start below the asphalt you are replacing in Applewood or Erindale. We excavate deep, compact granular base in lifts, restrain the edges, and set a driveway-rated paver. Zoning caps width and soft landscaping; curb changes need a city permit.
Narrow front paths and heaving slabs are common on Cooksville clay. We rebuild the base, set level transitions, and add a soldier-course border, so guests walk a straight, dry line from curb to door. Plows and salt cannot lift restrained edges.
From Port Credit courtyards to wide Meadowvale backyards, we build patios around the dining table, the grill, and the fire bowl. Slope carries water away from the house, and patterned stone makes the space feel like a room.
Mineola and Lorne Park lots rarely sit flat. We build paver landings and matched steps with consistent riser heights, so footing stays safe in February and the entry reads as one design, not three materials.
A contrasting border earns its cost twice: it frames the surface and holds the field pavers tight. We match banding and inlays to Erin Mills buff brick, Streetsville stone, or newer grey cladding.
Sunken sections, loose edges, weeds in the joints, plow scars. We lift the affected area, fix the base, reset the stones, and re-sand the joints, which usually costs far less than replacing a sound surface.

Step into the spaces we’ve transformed. From lush greenery to elegant stonework, our gardens are designed to inspire, relax, and elevate your everyday life.
We walk the property, ask how you will use it, measure, and check grades, access, drainage, and what sits under the old surface.
We fix the pattern, borders, elevations, and water direction, confirm zoning width and any curb permit, then hand you a scope you can approve.
We dig out soft clay and old fill, set grades, then install and compact granular base in lifts. This stage decides how the surface behaves in ten years.
We screed bedding sand, lay stones in the approved pattern, cut tight around curves and hydro boxes, install edge restraint, and compact the finished field.
We sweep in polymeric sand, test drainage, clean the site, then walk the surface with you and explain spring rinsing and joint top-ups.
Our skilled professionals bring decades of hands-on experience, delivering expert solutions tailored to every property.
We’re committed to excellence in every detail - because your home deserves nothing less than stunning, lasting results.
Pavers are separate concrete or stone units set on compacted granular base and locked together with jointing sand. Concrete and asphalt cure as one slab, so a crack travels. With pavers we lift a few stones, correct the base, and reset them, and the repair disappears.
Across the GTA, installed paver work runs roughly $25 to $55 per square foot. Excavation depth, access, base thickness, borders, steps, cuts, and drainage move that number. A free on-site visit turns the range into one fixed price with no obligation to proceed.
Mississauga does not require a building permit to widen a driveway, but zoning sets your maximum width and minimum soft landscaped area, under Zoning By-law subsection 4.1.9 and article 3.1.1.7. Changing the curb or paving the boulevard needs an access modification permit. We check both before quoting.
Ask for the scope in writing: excavation depth, base thickness, slope direction, edge restraint, and the exact paver. Ours names all five. One project specialist owns your file from first call to final walkthrough, and 530 finished projects stand behind it.
Yes. A driveway needs deeper excavation, granular base compacted in lifts, correct slope, strong edge restraint, and a paver rated for traffic. Build it that way and it carries daily cars and the occasional delivery truck without rutting or spreading at the edges.
Herringbone locks tightest, so it belongs on driveways. Running bond, modular, and large-format layouts suit patios. We hold samples against your own exterior, whether that is 1970s Applewood red brick, Erin Mills buff, or newer grey cladding, then set colour, scale, and border.
A walkway takes a few days. Most Mississauga interlocking driveways run one to two weeks, weather depending. Excavation is the loud phase. We stage material off the road where we can, keep your access open, and sweep the site every evening before leaving.
Sweep, wash once a year, and top up joint sand where it thins. Sealing stays optional, usually revisited every two to four years. After a salty winter, rinse the surface in spring so salt does not sit in the joints and dull the colour.
Yes. Every install carries our five-year limited labour warranty in writing, plus the manufacturer coverage that applies to the stone you choose. Your estimate names both before a shovel moves, so you know what is covered and for how long.
Dozens of freeze-thaw swings hit between November and April, and the Building Code puts our frost line at 1,200 mm. Sand-filled joints let each unit shift a hair instead of cracking, while proper grading keeps water from collecting under the surface and lifting it.
Plan it before excavation. The finished surface slopes away from the house, and the water needs a destination that is not your neighbour lot. On Lorne Park and Clarkson properties with mature trees, we map roots, grades, and outlets first, then set elevations around them.
Colour softens a little under sun and road salt, though quality stone keeps its character for decades. Sweep often, wash gently, clear oil and rust stains quickly, and seal if you want the saturated, wet look held longer through the season.
A small garden landing, yes. A driveway on Peel clay, no. The work that fails is invisible: excavation depth, compaction in lifts, bedding thickness, slope, and edge restraint. Get one wrong and the surface tells on you by about year three.
Pavers cost more upfront. Concrete cracks along the slab and the patch always shows, while a paver repair vanishes because the same stones go back down. Budget joint sand and optional sealing with pavers, and crack repair with concrete.
Yes: contrasting borders, inlays, banding, coordinated steps, and low-voltage lighting. Sleeves and wire go in during base work rather than after, so nothing looks bolted on later and nobody cuts a finished surface to chase a cable.
No. The Mississauga residential stormwater charge appears on your Region of Peel water bill and is tiered by rooftop area, not driveway area, running about $64.45 to $219.13 a year in 2026. New interlocking in Mississauga does not push you into a higher tier.
